Norine Dworkin-McDaniel writes nationally about health, nutrition, fitness and sexuality. She’s also written for More, Marie Claire, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal, Redbook, Fitness, Woman’s Day, and Las Vegas Life, as well as Good Housekeeping, Good Housekeeping, Food & Wine, Prevention, Reader's Digest, Best You, New York Observer, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Woman’s Wear Daily and The Village Voice. She’s produced several special interest magazines about health and nutrition for Woman’s Day and has contributed to custom publications published by Rodale and Hachette Filapacchi.
In 2007, Norine co-authored Food Cures: Breakthrough Nutritional Prescriptions For Everything From Colds To Cancer, published by Reader's Digest Health Publishing. Her other books credits include You Know He’s A Keeper … You Know He’s A Loser: Happy Endings And Horror Stories From Real Life Relationships (Perigee 2004), the New York Daily News’ pick of what to read on Valentine’s Day. Fitness magazine raved, “The laughs alone will lift your spirits,” and Seventeen described it as “a must read if you’re unsure about your guy.” Norine is also author of The Fun Seeker’s Guide To Las Vegas and has contributed to several editions of the Time Out Guide To Las Vegas.
Norine graduated with a BA in theatre and dance from Oberlin College and holds an MA in performance studies from New York University. She’s judged the Folio Editorial Excellence Awards and been a reader for the National Magazine Awards.
She’s currently at work on two collections of essays -- Give To Me Your Mountain, her memoir of life as a confirmed New Yorker living the rustic life, off-grid, in the Nevada desert, and Don’t Put Lizards In your Ears & Other Tales From The Mommy ‘Hood.
